William Henry Gates III or Bill Gates was born in October 28th, 1955 in Seattle, Washington. His father, William Henry Gates was a lawyer of a company. Meanwhile his mother, Mary Maxwell was an employee of First Interstate BancSystem, Pacific Northwest Bell and a member of united Way.

Bill Gates was sent to Lakeside School since he faced some difficulties in his previous school. In his new school, Bill Gates was first introduced to the computer’s world. He quickly mastered BASIC, a programming language of computer with all the hackers in Lakeside.

Ever since the establishment of Microsoft in 1975 until 2006, Gates takes a hold of major responsibility dealing with the marketing strategy of his products. Leadership style that used by Gates was tend to bureaucratic. Every single decision, big nor small must be decided by Gates himself. The charismatic leadership was implemented at that time.

In running the Microsoft, Bill Gates uses 2 kinds of leadership styles based on the situation. At first, Bill Gates with his Co-Founder, Steven Allen use Telling, D1 style. That is about the decision making. By the time, Gates then turns his leadership style into Delegating (D4) which delegate jobs and responsibility.
